Meet the artist.

Stephanie F Moore is a native San Franciscan who currently resides both in San Francisco and Sonoma, California. She studied Street photography, ceramics and textiles at Sonoma State University, San Francisco State University, and eventually ended up at the California College of Arts & Crafts where she was fortunate enough to study with Viola Frey. As life often takes its own path, those interests were put on hold for a 30 +year career as a pastry chef. She found great parallels with the rolling of clay and with the rolling of dough. It is with great excitement that she has been able to return to her love of ceramics full time.

Artwork with personality.

Her ceramics are a complete dichotomy of her photography: Whimsical, silly, fantastical and irreverent. At one time a very accomplished potter, she currently “sucks “at it for the daily ritual of throwing as one would practice the piano has not been maintained in her daily life. She produces work mainly constructing slabs and allowing the finished product to evolve on its own. She has no explanation for what just comes out of her head. She hopes her work will put a smile on peoples’ faces.
